What is the C&K Prescription Savings Program?
The C&K Prescription Savings Program is a discounted prescription buying program for individuals who have no prescription drug coverage, or insufficient drug coverage. Members in the Program receive discounts on cash prices of certain prescription drugs, seasonal flu vaccinations and related supplies at any Pharmacy Express or Chetco Pharmacy & Gifts store. Please note that the C&K Prescription Savings Program is not insurance.
Why should I enroll in this program?
If you are uninsured you must pay out-of-pocket for your prescriptions. The C&K Prescription Savings Program can help lower the out-of-pocket costs of our prescriptions. If you have insurance, your insurance may not cover all of your medications, or your insurance co-pays may be too high. The C&K Prescription Savings Program offers discounted prescription pricing for you and members of your family and may reduce the price you pay for these prescriptions.

Who's included/excluded in a family membership?
For just $25 a year, a family membership includes a single account that covers everyone in your immediate family, including a spouse, dependents under the age of 23 and pets. You will receive two C&K Prescription Savings Program cards. Additional adult family members living in the same household, like a parent or grandparent, will need to enroll separately at the individual rate of $15 a year. Annually, members receive a coupon worth $5, for individual memberships, or $10, for family memberships, redeemable at any Pharmacy Express and Chetco Pharmacy & Gifts store, after their first purchase of a prescription medication under the Program. Limit of one coupon per family membership.
Can college students enroll separately from their parents?
Yes. Individuals 18 years or older can enroll in the C&K Prescription Savings Program.
Why are Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE recipients excluded?
Federal and state statutes prohibit persons enrolled in a publicly funded health care program to participate in this program.
Is the C&K Prescription Savings Program a substitute for prescription insurance?
No. This C&K Prescription Savings Program is not an insurance plan. However, if you have insurance, your insurance may not cover all of your medications, or your insurance co-pays may be too high. The C&K Prescription Savings Program offers discounted prescription pricing for you and members of your family and may reduce the price you pay for these prescriptions.
If I already have insurance but want my uncovered drugs to be filled under the C&K Prescription Savings Program, would the Program be considered secondary insurance?
The C&K Prescription Savings Program cannot be used in conjunction with other prescription drug insurance or discount cards on any one purchase. If the C&K Prescription Savings Program has a lower price on your medication than your insurance or co-pay, you can use the Program in place of your insurance. Of course you can always use the Program to purchase prescriptions that are not covered by your insurance. Having other prescription drug coverage does not disqualify you from enrolling in the C&K Prescription Savings Program unless it is a publicly funded health care program.
What if I have other prescription drug discount cards?
Ask your C&K pharmacist which program saves you the most on your current prescriptions.
Is my membership automatically cancelled if I enroll in a Medicare program?
You are ineligible to participate in the C&K Prescription Savings Program if you are receiving benefits from Medicare, Medicaid or other federal or state health care program. Please inform a staff member at your nearest Pharmacy Express or Chetco Pharmacy & Gifts location immediately after you have enrolled in a publicly funded insurance program like Medicare. When you renew your membership annually, you will be asked to attest that you are not receiving benefits from a publicly funded health care program.
